Exploring the Arctic Circle in Norway
Ramberg
For the first leg of the trip, we rented a house in a town called Ramberg. It’s a beautiful little town on the coast with central access to hikes, attractions, and adventures. Since we stayed for a full week, I was able to capture varying weather patterns and lighting conditions.

Å
Our first trip out of Ramberg was to a town at the end of the Archipelago called Å. It’s at the southern tip of the Lofoten Archipelago. It’s home to the famous Museumskafé bakery, a hostel, fishing boats, and a lot of Kittiwake birds nesting on the sides of buildings.

Hamnøy
On our way back from Å, we passed by Hamnøy. We didn’t spend more than 5 min on the side of the road, but it’s worth mentioning. The panoramic photo below is one of my favourites of all time.

Røstlandet
Towards the end of our time in Lofoten, a small group of us took a ferry trip to the island of Røst. The main attraction was a birdwatching rib-boat trip to see a few birds including Puffins! I didn't have a telephoto lens, so I didn’t manage to get great wildlife shots, but the landscape was captivating enough for me.
