Stretching my skills with a shiny liquid product

Product Photography with Minimal Lighting
When approaching this project, I knew that lighting was going to be the biggest hurdle. After a lot of research (video tutorials and reading), I came to the conclusion that direct lighting was going to be my worst enemy.
To combat this, I created the key photo (pictured above) by stitching 12 photos together with slightly different positioning of a single LED panel. This allowed me to mask out most the direct light reflections from the center of the light's beam while being able to keep the diffused lighting effect on either side of the reflected light.
The remaining shots were created by using the LED panel to bounce against a diffusion sheet (A4 printer paper) to provide indirect lighting. Since these remaining shots were much closer to the subject, strategic lighting placement avoided the need for stitching multiple photos together.
It was fun learning how to achieve these results with household lighting/equipment. However, I would recommend getting a decent source of diffused lighting (or a speedlight) to make the process smoother!
